The minimum age for our work placement course is seventeen, and students should have a good intermediate (minimum B2) level of English to chat with members and other staff members in a relaxed way.

JWTP: Junior Work & Training Program (ages 16/ B1 level+)

A combination of 20 morning English classes, 15 hours of training, and voluntary work experience in the afternoon, this course will suit students who are not quite ready for the regular work placement programme, which requires students to be 17 + years old with a minimum B2 level of English.

This course gives basic employment skills and the opportunity to implement these skills in authentic projects, receive peer and mentor feedback, engage in self-reflection, make required modifications, and repeat the process.

Team building, communication skills, collaborative problem solving, critical thinking, and co-creativity are amongst the skills that will be taught during the afternoon training (days which can take place indoors or outdoors).

Work experience will occur in projects designed to implement the skills acquired during the training sessions. Mentor and peer feedback and self-reflection take place before work trainees have an opportunity to repeat the process.
