Work with us

Inspire, support, and grow alongside young people at a holistic language school in Cahersiveen, County Kerry

Our approach

We are a holistic language school working primarily with teenagers who are spending time away from home, often for the first time. Our focus is not only on English, but on wellbeing, confidence, and helping students get the most out of their experience — socially, emotionally, and creatively.

We don’t use textbooks in the traditional sense. Instead, we encourage learning that is active, relational, and rooted in real interests. Our classrooms are spaces where curiosity, creativity, and connection matter as much as grammar.

Teaching with us

Teachers at our school are encouraged to bring themselves into the classroom. That might mean language learning through storytelling, film-making, gardening, cooking, music, science, or creative projects that respond to the interests and needs of the students.

Some teaching is more traditional ESOL; some is innovative and workshop-based. Often it’s a blend of both. We work collaboratively to shape programmes that support students’ language development while also engaging them as whole people.

If you are a teacher who sees education as a living, creative process — and who enjoys adapting to young people rather than delivering a fixed script — you will feel at home here.

Break time

“We value teachers who are curious, reflective, and open to learning.”

Who we are looking for

More than specific qualifications, we look for people who care deeply about education and young people.

Roles we work with

Teacher

We are looking for ESOL teachers who enjoy working with teenagers and who are open to both language teaching and creative, interest-led learning.

Teaching may involve more traditional ESOL classes and/or workshops built around a teacher’s own skills and passions. This can include areas such as film-making, storytelling, drama, music, art, sports, or other hands-on approaches that support language development, confidence, and wellbeing.

Activity leaders support students outside the classroom through sports, outdoor activities, cultural experiences, and group projects. This role is ideal for people who enjoy working with young people in active, informal settings and helping them feel engaged and supported.

Supporting students’ wellbeing, daily life, and experience away from home.

Roles vary depending on the time of year and programme needs, and we are often open to shaping roles around the right person.

Our Team & Community

Our school is a vibrant, international community, and many people describe it as feeling like a family. Staff come from a wide range of backgrounds — some are local, while others return year after year.

Friendships formed here often last well beyond the summer. There is a strong sense of shared purpose, mutual support, and care for both students and colleagues.

“It’s an absolute pleasure to teach at this refreshingly humanistic English language school set deep within the beautiful wild Kerry landscape.” – Geoffrey Gregory
