OVERVIEW

Have you already attended an ASANA SUMMER JUNIOR PROGRAMME (more than a couple of times!!)?

Do you love Cahersiveen?
Are you too old for our junior programme but not quite ready to join the adult one? We have a special programme for you!!! Enjoy the same warm, fun, family type atmosphere of the Junior programme AND all the benefits of a focused, academic, adult language programme in our NEW ECO FRIENDLY building on Quay street , Cahersiveen.

Course contents include: EAP (English for academic purposes), Exam preparation, Work and Life skills. Irish culture – all in a relaxed, happy Asana, LEARNER CENTRED ENVIRONMENT. In the afternoons you can attend our activity programme three afternoons a week and do work experience with Asana two afternoons a week.

GREEN ALERT

Doing two days of work experience with the Asana team, there will be the possibility to create some 100% environmentally friendly cob (clay) structures or work with us in the organic garden at our new Eco – friendly building. Hopefully you are a committed environmentalist! You will learn a lot and get excellent life skills! We will also be doing some art/community based projects. This Asana 18 to 23 programme is of three weeks’ duration and you may begin your course on the following Mondays with arrival the preceding Sunday (preferable) or Saturday:

ACTIVITIES

One full-day and three afternoon activities each week include water sports, hikes in the mountains, rock-climbing, sea-kayaking, boat fishing, exploration of the coastline with a marine biologist, fun & games on the beach, cycling, trips to nearby towns and much more.

On two afternoons each week you will work with the Asana team on some of our environmental /art/community projects.

(Optional) English & horse-riding with A.I.R.E. Ring of Kerry Equestrian Centre: dressage, training & trekking along beaches and forest trails.

Please note there is a supplement of 120 euro per week for the horse-riding option.

PRICE & TRANSFERS

Our Asana 18 to 23 three-week course costs €1525

Transfers from and to Cork Airport and Kerry Airport are included in these prices provided that students travel on a Saturday or a Sunday or exceptionally with Ryanair flights arriving and leaving on a Monday.

Please note: Accommodation for this programme is with a host family in a shared room.
