ACTIVITIES AND FREE TIME
Cahersiveen is especially famous for its wonderful mountain and coastal scenery, and our programme of boat-trips, walks and archeological explorations makes the most of this. Especially popular amongst teenagers and adults alike, is our summer programme of water-sports, sea-kayaking, sailing and rock-climbing run in association with Valentia Island Sea Sports. Recent additions to our excursion programme is an afternoon with Sea Synergy, where Lucy Hunt and her team of marine biologists will take you on an exploration of the shore with stories of the sea and land. Also new is our fishing trip based right out of Cahersiveen and out to Valentia Harbour: mackerel and pollock are not hard to come by here – try selling what you catch to locals – or to Colm and the teachers at the school!
